Building, from the ground up.

Our team has worked with architects, civil engineers, landscape designers, and builders to design and permit a charming two-room schoolhouse and children's garden that will root children in the heart of our community. Our nine-month build has officially begun, and we invite the whole community to watch this investment in our children take shape. Construction will be completed this summer, with our doors opening to students in September 2026.

The Schoolhouse

Our 4,500-square-foot schoolhouse is designed to be a home away from home. It features ideal learning environments for Toddlers and Primary children, a teaching kitchen for practical life skills, and a light-filled multipurpose room. This space is intended for reciprocity—a place we look forward to sharing with the greater community. Built with the latest in design and materials, this schoolhouse is being crafted to serve multiple generations of children during their foundational years.

The Children’s Garden

Located in the center of town, our natural playspace will be a sensory-rich environment full of texture, color, aroma, and edible plantings. The garden is designed to foster discovery, playfulness, and environmental stewardship.

We believe that by learning to love the land, children develop into its greatest caretakers.

Thank you to the professionals who are making it happen:

November 2025

Our groundbreaking month was a month of big machines and even bigger dreams. We watched with gratitude as the earth was prepared to hold our future schoolhouse, marking the very first step in rooting Strawberry Blossom in the heart of New London.

December 2025

Despite the early arrival of winter, our team got busy below the surface pouring the foundation—the literal roots of our building. Seeing the footprint of our classrooms set in concrete made the dream feel solid and real.

January 2026

If you’ve driven by the site lately, you’ve seen a transformation! The skeleton of the schoolhouse is now vertical. With the walls and windows framed, you can finally see the "light-filled" vision coming to life. We can already imagine the sun streaming through these windows, illuminating the work of the children who will fill these rooms this September.
